Best Value Hitch for the XC60 – German Engineering, American Made
I recently installed the Oris removable trailer hitch on my 2019 Volvo XC60 R-Design T5, and I couldn’t be more impressed. This hitch is everything I was looking for—clean, solid, and incredibly well-engineered.
While I’ve never owned a Stealth Hitch, I did a lot of research, and frankly, the price tag on those systems is hard to justify. The Oris delivers similar sleek functionality at a fraction of the cost, with the added confidence of German engineering and American manufacturing. You can feel the quality in the materials and the precise fit—it mounts perfectly to the factory points with zero hassle.
The removable design is seamless and keeps the rear profile clean when the hitch isn’t in use. It’s discreet but tough—exactly what I needed for occasional towing and bike racks without sacrificing the XC60’s sporty design.
If you're looking for a smart, reliable hitch solution that doesn’t break the bank, the Oris hitch gets my highest recommendation. Outstanding value and performance all around.
So far so good. It fit my vehicle as advertised using the pre-drilled/factory installed mounting brackets. And it is much less visible/obtrusive than others I have used in the past. But I would note that the installer, who is a superb mechanic, did say he had to really mangle/bend back the factory heat shield to get it into proper position, and it does block my "open the tailgate with a foot wave under the bumper" feature, which I personally never use anyway.
Excellent fit and super stealth. Etrailer staff is world class! Could not ask for more!
